Signal Flag is HoloMemory sample No. 42 in The Last Caretaker.
Against the vastness of the ocean, a flag only appears as a tiny speck. However, the survivor waves it anyway because giving up is another kind of death. A companion watches from below, not because they know help is coming, but because hope sometimes needs a witness in order to keep trying.
