Lazarus: growing humans
How to grow a human of the profession you need in The Last Caretaker. A human grows from a human seed in the Lazarus rack; memories, cartridges and food you put in raise their properties. When every property is above a profession's thresholds, the human gets it. All numbers come from the game files.
How it works
- Find a human seed (Human Seed) and put it into the Lazarus Pod.
- Attach the pod to the Lazarus Rack (Location Only) (it needs electricity and fresh water). You can't build a rack yourself in this version — its recipe is locked in the game; the quest Initialize the Growing Process introduces it.
- Put memories and cartridges (they develop the mind) and food from the Food Processor (it develops the body) into the rack. A human can only grow if the physical properties are above the minimum: Weight > 20Height > 30Life Expectancy > 10.
- While growing, the game shows a prediction of the professions. A profession is granted when all its requirements are met; only the highest level in a group stays.
- Grown humans take seats in committees — each committee needs its own set of professions.
ⓘ The exact growth formula is in the game code (diminishing returns, age), so this shows the maximum each item can add. In practice, aim higher.
