Speed Remembered
Speed Remembered is Cave painting sample No. 694 in The Last Caretaker.
A horse remembered because of its speed. Orbit interprets this image as humans studying movement itself. The horse's legs are lifted. Its body is extended. Life is passing quickly through space. The image teaches that early human artwork didn't record just the appearances of animals. They also recorded how animals lived and moved through the natural world.

Large animal-like quadruped shown in motion. Raised limbs suggest running or forward movement.
