Left Behind
Left Behind is HoloMemory sample No. 57 in The Last Caretaker.
Survivors never want to remember these moments. That raft can't hold three people. Allowing another person onboard means death for everyone. So, they must get the raft moving as fast as possible because neither survivor wishes to force the hands of the swimmer away. They don't look back either because looking would make the swimmer human again. The swimmer knows their decision too, but the body tries to survive anyway.
