Last Battery
Last Battery is HoloMemory sample No. 40 in The Last Caretaker.
It's not contemplation but hesitation. The question they face is simple and terrible: use the light now or save it for worse later. That's what the last battery charge means. Light is no longer ordinary. Light has become judgment, argument, and responsibility. Two people sit in front of a small charge and must choose when darkness will be allowed to consume them.
Two adult subjects oriented toward compact energy device and a lamp unit. One subject extends a hand toward the power source. Both remain in a state of intense contemplation.
