Skill Passed Forward
Skill Passed Forward is Cave painting sample No. 596 in The Last Caretaker.
This image depicts an encounter between an aboriginal hunter and a kangaroo or wallaby. Orbit believes it to be instructional. The painting shows how to track the animal's movement and aim a barbed spear. The lesson isn't just about the hunt. Early humans understood the need to preserve and communicate their skills from one person to another.
Two simplified forms linked by a vertical rod-like element. One form is dark and solid. One patterned circular mark appears near the connection.
