A prescription is supposed to authorize the pharmacy to dispense medicine to the assigned person. It's a message that only the old system understood. A prescription used to be a promise: go here, receive this, get better. Now it's only a piece of hope held in a que that may not even move at all. Receiving medicine has become chance, and chance isn't care.
