Last Shift is HoloMemory sample No. 13 in The Last Caretaker.
The healthy worker stayed at the side of the fallen one. That's the part that matters. No regulations required it, and it certainly didn't fit into their work schedule. One person couldn't continue, so the other remained to comfort. And all around them, the station's operations were neglected and fell apart.
