Ladder Nowhere
Ladder Nowhere is HoloMemory sample No. 87 in The Last Caretaker.
They're not climbing toward safety. Not yet. They're climbing to gain a little more time. When water claims all the ground, going up becomes the only escape. One person holds the ladder stable against the rushing water because trust is a survival necessity. If those hands fail, any future above falls into the water with them.
One adult subject stabilizes a ladder structure. A second adult subject climbs upward while carrying a load, attempting to reach an elevated surface.
