Crossing
Crossing is HoloMemory sample No. 107 in The Last Caretaker.
The road is empty, but they still stop to look both ways. That's how deeply the old rules ingrained themselves. Hold the hand of an adult and wait until it's safe to cross. The world no longer obeys those rules, but the adult keeps them for the sake of the child. Sometimes, a semblance of order is the last kindness that can be given.
