Among Larger Bodies
Among Larger Bodies is Cave painting sample No. 531 in The Last Caretaker.
Humans placed themselves inside a field of powerful animals. Orbit reads this as a memory of scale, small bodies moving among larger, stronger beings. The image preserves more than the idea of prey. It shows that early humans understood danger as something to study, approach together, and turn into shared knowledge.
Dozens of animal-like organisms surround two human-like figures. Human forms appear small relative to the animal group.
